Job Description

Employment Support/ Job Coach Location:
Ipswich, Rowley, North Shore of MA Hours:
4-6 hours/ week.
Rate:
$25/ hour We are seeking an energetic but patient and dedicated job coach to mentor and empower a young adult with a developmental disability. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Guide exploration of potential jobs, application process, and development of employer relationship.
On Site Training:
Break down complex duties into manageable tasks.
Soft Skill Development:
Coach the employee with regard to time management, and organization
Self-Advocacy and Accommodations:
Guide the employee in self-identifying skill deficits and advocating for necessary accommodations.
Employer Liaison:
Act as bridge between employee, employer, family/ support team members.
Support Fading:
Encourage independence and using natural supports.
Documentation:
Keep daily progress notes relevant to researching employment possibilities, applications, interviews, job performance, etc. Qualifications and Requirements Must have experience working with adults with developmental disabilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Transportation:
Valid driver's license, with clean driving record, and safe, reliable vehicle.
Background Check:
Ability to pass a background/ legal history check.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
