Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. Monitor patient health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; observe for any changes or signs of distress. Support residents with medication reminders and administration under supervision, adhering to HIPAA regulations and care plans. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are respected. Maintain cleanliness of residents' living areas through regular cleaning and sanitation practices to promote hygiene and comfort. Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to safely transfer residents with mobility challenges. Document observations, care activities, and incidents accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and facility policies. Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring. Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training, or relevant nursing assistant credentials are advantageous. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks associated with patient care. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, dementia (including Alzheimer's disease), or memory care needs is desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and provide compassionate support to residents.
