This young woman is vibrant, loves to shop at Target, watch movies, go out to eat, and engage with peers. She lives with her incredibly supportive and loving family and care team who is ready to welcome another great candidate into their home. This position is part-time, with the possibility of increasing hours based on performance. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about empowering individuals with disabilities to live as independently as possible while providing respectful and skilled care in home and community settings. Responsibilities Assist with Activities of Daily Living including chores at home, meal prep, and personal shopping and leisure activities Provide support with personal care tasks Provide emotional support Prompts and encouragement to engage in non-preferred tasks Provide respectful, person-centered support Maintain safety and dignity at all times Communicate professionally with the support team as needed Requirements Compassionate, patient, respectful demeanor Comfortable with taking care of and being around large dogs Ability to reliably commute to Bethesda, MD Ability to pass a background check Valid driver's license and reliable transportation CPR and First Aid certification Experience supporting individuals with activities of daily living Benefits Training cost reimbursement, if applicable Mileage reimbursement at Federal reimbursement rate, if applicable PTO reimbursement for full-time staff, if eligible Sick leave reimbursement
