Responsibilities Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, grooming, and hygiene Support residents with medication administration and monitor vital signs following care plans and HIPAA regulations Provide patient observation, monitor behavior, and respond promptly to changing needs or emergencies Prepare nutritious meals, assist with cooking, and ensure proper hygiene and cleanliness of living spaces Operate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques safely and effectively Document care activities accurately in compliance with privacy standards like HIPAA and maintain detailed records of patient progress Facilitate community outings, transportation assistance, and engagement activities to promote social inclusion Requirements Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, autism, dementia, or geriatrics is highly preferred Knowledge of patient care techniques including assisting with ADLs, patient monitoring, and medication administration Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and patient transfers using appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in Alzheimer's or dementia care is a plus Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork within caregiving environments Experience working in settings such as group homes, nursing homes, home health agencies, or hospice care is advantageous Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA compliance and home & community care best practices We are looking for Weekday Awake overnight, weekday 3pm-11pm, weekend day 7am-11pm, weekend night 11pm-7am.
