• Client is a full-time wheelchair user who needs help with transfers, repositioning, and getting around the home and community. Male Staff of 21-45 years of age Preferred due to mobility support. Health & personal care support
• Staff assist with medication reminders/administration and daily hygiene (company can aid staff in attaining CMT
• FREE of charge) Communication & self-advocacy
• Client is verbal and social; Client wants staff who listen, ask what they wants rather than assuming, and help practice speaking up for themself. Respect & professionalism
• Client says it's important that staff is friendly, open-minded, and treat the work relationship professionally and respectfully — not a "for him" dynamic, but a "with him" one.

As a DSP, you will be at the forefront of empowering individuals to achieve their personal goals while ensuring their safety and well-being through engaging, person-centered support. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide personalized care tailored to each resident's needs, including medication administration and vital signs monitoring Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by performing light housekeeping and adhering to infection control protocols Document resident progress, incidents, and care activities accurately while respecting residents' rights and privacy standards Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Knowledge of Mobility patient care Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in safe patient lifting practices is a plus Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is desirable Ability to operate standard passenger vehicles for community outings or appointments when necessary Strong communication skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and team members Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks while maintaining safety standards Join us in creating a nurturing environment where compassion meets excellence!
