In person Job Summary We are seeking dependable, compassionate, and experienced Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide quality support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The DSP will assist individuals with daily living activities while promoting independence, dignity, community inclusion, and an enhanced quality of life. Some positions may involve supporting individuals with mobility limitations, including wheelchair use, and require close attention to health and safety needs, including fall prevention. 1.   • 9:00 AM A valid Maryland driver's license is required for all positions.
Responsibilities Provide individualized support with activities of daily living. Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene. Support communication, social interaction, and community participation. Assist with meal preparation, cooking, housekeeping, laundry, and other household tasks. Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive home environment. Transport individuals to medical appointments, recreational activities, and community outings. Administer medications in accordance with agency policies and documentation requirements. Implement positive behavior support strategies when appropriate. Complete accurate documentation, including daily notes, medication records, and incident reports. Monitor and report changes in health, behavior, or safety concerns to supervisory staff. Promote each individual's rights, independence, and overall well-being. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of one (1) year of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. Valid Maryland driver's license (required). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Dependable, compassionate, patient, and professional. Required Certifications/Training CPR & First Aid Certified Medication Technician (CMT) Bloodborne Pathogens
