BECOME THE FIRST LINE OF CARE
Shield Supportive Services is building a more connected private-care experience for older adults, individuals with disabilities, people experiencing declining health, and families who need dependable support at home. Our caregivers are called Shield Care Partners because this position is about more than completing tasks. You will protect dignity, notice changes, prevent gaps in support, and help families remain connected to their loved one's care.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Provide companionship and safety supervision Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and other daily activities Prepare meals and support proper nutrition Perform light housekeeping and laundry related to the client Provide medication reminders within the authorized care plan Accompany clients to appointments and community activities Communicate appropriate updates to authorized family members Observe and promptly report changes in condition Follow individualized care plans Complete accurate shift documentation using Shield-approved systems Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies Maintain professional boundaries and protect client privacy

COMPENSATION
Starting pay: $17-$20 per hour Starting rate determined by experience, training, availability and demonstrated competency Overtime paid in accordance with applicable law Paid Shield orientation and required job training Branded starter uniform and essential-care kit after successful onboarding Opportunity to advance to Senior Shield Care Partner
SCHEDULING
Shield builds structured client assignments, generally beginning with clients receiving at least 20 hours of care each week.
Available schedules may include:
Daytime care Evening care Weekends Appointment accompaniment Consistent recurring assignments Hours depend on client needs and are not guaranteed until an assignment is confirmed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
At least 18 years old High school diploma or equivalent Compassionate, dependable and professional Able to communicate clearly with clients, families and supervisors Able to follow written care plans and complete electronic documentation Able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation Willing to complete criminal background and exclusion checks Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record when assigned driving responsibilities CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it before independent assignment Reliable transportation to client locations Preferred but not required: Caregiving, DSP, home-care or family-caregiving experience CNA, HHA or personal-care training Dementia or disability-support experience

Pay:
$17.00 - $23.00 per hour
