This role is perfect for someone who loves animals and thrives in a team-oriented environment. What You'll Do As a Pet Care Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting our patients, clients, and medical team by assisting with: Checking in Dog Daycare clients and pets Conducting daycare play assessments and organizing play groups by size and temperament Bathing and nail trims for patients Using basic knowledge of shampoos, conditioners, coat types, and general pet care Safely restraining pets during services and appointments Supporting Veterinary Assistants and Licensed Veterinary Technicians during outpatient visits Assisting the Shift Leader with daily pet care needs, such as walking, feeding, and caring for hospitalized, surgical, and dental patients Cleaning and maintaining kennels, wards, daycare areas, and hospital spaces And more as needed to support daily operations What We're Looking For Our ideal candidate is: At least 18 years of age Currently seeking a part time position Comfortable handling cats and dogs of all sizes and temperaments Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions (Dog Daycare) Willing and able to work at both locations: Cascade Hospital for Animals and Breton Village Animal Clinic Prior professional experience with pets is a plus, but not required — we're happy to train motivated candidates with a passion for animal care.
