ALL LOVE
HOME, operated by ASPGM LLC, is hiring a dependable Direct Support Professional for our adult foster care home in Inkster, Michigan. Help adults live with dignity, build everyday skills, and participate in their community while providing consistent, attentive support. This position requires a valid driver's license, the ability to transport residents, and broad scheduling availability.
SCHEDULE AND COVERAGE
Be available for different shifts within a defined 16-hour daily scheduling window. The exact window and available workdays will be established during hiring. Shifts are generally planned for approximately 8 hours. Flexibility is required to work different start and end times and occasionally extend a shift when relief is late or an unexpected coverage need occurs. Be available for weekend and holiday assignments within the agreed schedule. Shift assignments and weekly hours may change with resident census, care needs, and staffing requirements. Expected hours and employment status will be discussed before an offer. Arrive on time, ready to work. If relief does not arrive, promptly contact management and continue required supervision while management arranges a safe handoff. Report any concern affecting your ability to continue safely. Schedules are posted in advance when practicable. This availability window does not itself mean continuous on-call duty. Any separate on-call assignment requires clearly communicated terms. All hours worked, including coverage extensions and required job training, are paid, with overtime as applicable. Please disclose recurring scheduling restrictions during hiring so we can determine whether the position fits your availability.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Assist residents with personal care, hygiene, dressing, meals, mobility, and daily routines according to their individual needs. Follow each resident's Individual Plan of Service, support independence and personal choices, and protect privacy and recipient rights. Administer and document medications only after completing required training and authorization; promptly report refusals, errors, and concerns. Drive an authorized vehicle for appointments, shopping, activities, and other approved resident transportation. Prepare meals according to menus and dietary instructions; complete cleaning, laundry, inventory, and vehicle care tasks. Complete accurate, timely care notes, medication records, incident reports, transportation logs, and assigned cash or supply records. Observe and promptly report changes in health, behavior, or safety; follow emergency and de-escalation procedures. Use company email, scheduling, timekeeping, and electronic care systems; complete shift handoffs and required training. Stay awake, attentive, and engaged throughout working time and maintain professional boundaries.
QUALIFICATIONS
At least 18 years old. Valid driver's license and driving record meeting company and vehicle insurer requirements. Ability and willingness to safely transport residents and reliably report to work. Scheduling availability that meets the requirements above. Ability to communicate respectfully, follow written care instructions, document accurately, and learn required technology. Ability to perform essential care and safety duties, with or without reasonable accommodation. Meet applicable background screening and employment eligibility requirements. Complete required orientation, CPR/First Aid, recipient rights, medication, and resident-specific training. One year of direct care, adult foster care, group home, or related experience preferred.
