New Horizons Rehabilitation Services, Inc. is seeking caring and dependable individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) throughout Oakland County. As a DSP, you'll work directly with individuals with disabilities to help them build independence, develop everyday skills, participate in their communities, and work toward their personal goals. No previous DSP experience is required. We provide paid training and ongoing support to help you succeed. What You'll Do Support individuals in working toward personal goals and greater independence Help individuals develop everyday skills such as communication, organization, decision-making, and self-advocacy Participate in community activities, volunteering, shopping, social outings, and other activities Provide safe transportation to activities, programs, and employment when needed Assist with daily routines and personal care as appropriate Complete required documentation and maintain accurate, timely records Build positive relationships while promoting dignity, choice, inclusion, and respect What We're Looking For You may be a great fit for this position if you: Enjoy helping others learn, grow, and achieve their goals Are dependable, patient, and adaptable Have strong communication and relationship-building skills Are comfortable working independently and as part of a team Want meaningful work where you can make a difference every day Basic Requirements Valid driver's license Current auto insurance and reliable transportation Ability to successfully complete required background checks Willingness to assist with personal care when needed Why Work at New Horizons?
