Job Description

Our client is seeking a motivated Litigation Attorney with 2-3+ years of experience to join their growing team in Troy. An attorney with a background in defense and litigation, along with hands-on experience taking depositions, is highly preferred. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of your cases while building your professional legal career!

Compensation is based on experience ranging between $100,00 - $140,000 with opportunities for bonuses.

This is an opportunity for an attorney who wants more than simply supporting someone else's cases. From the start, you will have direct ownership of your own files, with the support of experienced paralegals, secretaries, and the broader legal team.

What You'll Do Take primary ownership of assigned litigation files Conduct depositions and participate in all phases of litigation Prepare for and argue motions Develop case strategy and manage cases from beginning to resolution Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and other involved parties Work closely with paralegal and administrative support to effectively manage your caseload Collaborate directly with firm partners on case strategy and complex matters What We're Looking For 2-3+ years of litigation experience Defense litigation experience strongly preferred Hands-on experience taking depositions Experience with motion practice and courtroom proceedings Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to independently manage cases while working effectively as part of a team Strong judgment, organization, and attention to detail Active license to practice law in Michigan
