Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aide to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care and a strong understanding of the unique needs of clients, including those with autism. As a Home Care Aide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their safety and comfort. Responsibilities Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing. Assist with light- housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, and grocery shopping. Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being. Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed, ensuring safe transfer techniques. Observe and report any changes in the client's condition or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality. Administer first aid or CPR when necessary, following established protocols. Assist clients with medication reminders and adherence to prescribed health regimens. Qualifications Previous experience in senior care or as a home care aide is preferred. Knowledge of working with individuals on the autism spectrum is highly desirable. Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred . Ability to assist clients with mobility challenges. Strong observational skills to monitor client health and well-being effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and confidentiality.
