As a Home Health Aide, you will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to promote independence, comfort, and well-being in a safe and respectful environment. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Observe and document patient conditions accurately using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality Assist with medication administration under supervision and monitor vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, and temperature Support patients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and end-of-life care with patience and empathy Use proper patient transfer methods including Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices to ensure safety during mobility tasks Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping duties such as laundry and meal preparation Communicate effectively with clients and their families to address concerns, provide updates on patient status, and promote positive relationships Qualifications Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home healthcare settings preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, catheter care, and basic life support (BLS) including CPR certification required Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges highly desirable Familiarity with home health regulations and medical documentation procedures necessary for compliance Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform patient transfers using appropriate techniques Strong interpersonal skills for compassionate patient care and client communication Valid certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications related to hospice or geriatrics are a plus Must demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and a genuine desire to improve patient quality of life Join us in making a positive impact through dedicated home healthcare assistance!
