Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistant / In Home Support / Night Supervision caregiver to provide high-quality care and assistance to an individual in a home setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient observation, personal care, and support for individuals with various disabilities or health conditions. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives by ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being during overnight hours. The position requires a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all relevant health and safety standards. Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance, including helping clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor residents' health status by observing vital signs, managing medication administration, and reporting any changes or concerns promptly. Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met according to care plans. Support clients with mobility using appropriate patient transfer methods and equipment such as a Hoyer lift. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and sanitation in compliance with health regulations. Offer companionship and emotional support while fostering respectful communication tailored to each individual's needs. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality at all times during patient monitoring and documentation. Assist with transporting client, via van, within their community or home as needed for appointments or activities. Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to observe patients carefully, monitor vital signs, and respond appropriately in emergency situations. Knowledge of adhering to care plans and medication administration procedures aligned with protocol and healthcare standards. Familiarity with patient transfer techniques such as Hoyer lifts. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration within a caregiving environment. Pay:
$17.50 - $22.00 per hour
