We are seeking caring, dependable, and responsible individuals to provide Individualized Home Supports (IHS) to individuals who need assistance developing and maintaining independent living skills. We welcome applicants with or without previous IHS experience or training . Training will be provided to qualified candidates as needed. The Direct Support Professional will work one-on-one with individuals in their home and/or community and provide support based on their individual needs and service plan. Responsibilities Provide individualized support and assistance with daily living activities. Help individuals develop and maintain independent living skills. Assist with meal planning and preparation, shopping, organization, and light housekeeping. Support individuals with community activities and appointments. Encourage independence, confidence, and participation in the community. Provide guidance with communication, routines, scheduling, and other life skills. Follow each individual's person-centered service plan and health and safety requirements. Maintain professional boundaries and respect each individual's privacy and dignity. Complete required documentation and service notes accurately and on time. Communicate appropriately with supervisors, families, and other members of the individual's support team. Qualifications Applicants with IHS experience or training: Previous IHS, DSP, PCA, caregiving, or human-services experience is preferred. Relevant training or experience may be considered depending on the position. Applicants without IHS experience or training: No previous IHS experience is required for qualified applicants. Training and orientation will be provided. Must be dependable, patient, respectful, and willing to learn. Must be able to follow instructions and provide safe, person-centered support. Requirements Must be at least 18 years old. Must be able to pass required background checks. Must complete all required training. Must have reliable transportation when transportation is required for the position. Must be able to communicate effectively and maintain accurate documentation. Must demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and respect for the individuals receiving services.
