Lead Direct Support Professional

Job Description

The Lead Staff position at MTF Inc. exists to help care for Developmentally Disabled Adults. The Lead Staff will supervise DSPs and report to the companys Designated Coordinator and the Designated Manager. The Lead Staff will oversee day to day operations and ensure the homes provide a safe environment for the individuals we serve and promote positive teamwork at the house with all MTF Inc. employees. MTF is currently seeking to hire 1 Lead Staff. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 6a-2pm. The starting pay for this position is 24/hr with an increase after a 90 day probationary period, pending performance review.
  • Must have 2+ years of Supervisory Experience in related field
  • Lead Staff Requirements:
  • Valid Drivers License with clean driving record
  • Ability to pass DHS run background study
  • Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have 2+ years of Supervisory experience in related field
Lead Staff Duties:
  • Scheduling Employees on a bi-weekly basis
  • Being responsible for covering direct care shifts if needed. This includes mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnights and weekends
  • Communicate with DC, DM and Owner as needed
  • Ensure that individual activities are scheduled weekly and individual appointments are completed as required by licensing and Physicians
  • Monitor Individual Formal Outcomes, Daily living Goals, Medication Administration, Financial assistance, Community Involvement and Documentation
  • Monitor and Train Employees on a regular basis. Talking with DSPs, coaching, guiding and leading by example
  • Oversee Individual Financial Information
  • Facilitate an environment that promotes independence and encourages teamwork
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the individuals we serve, co-workers, supervisors and support team members
  • Communicate promptly to Supervisors, employees and ST members
  • Manage House Hold Budget
  • Maintain and update Individual Program Books. This includes filing all paperwork at the MTF office by the 3rd of the month
  • Monitor and Run fire and tornado drills according to Company Policy
  • Ensure the Home and Company Vehicles are in proper accordance with Company and Licensing standards
  • Work 40 hours each week. These hours are included in your houses staffing budget
  • Any other tasks and duties assigned by your Supervisor
  • Personally attend and ensure your employees attend and complete all Company trainings, meetings and mandatory in services
  • Communicating any schedule changes or needs to the
