About This Role Impact Support Services is looking for a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our Day Services team. In this role, you'll work with small groups of individuals (typically 1 to 6 people) in both center-based and community settings. You'll help individuals develop life skills, participate in meaningful activities, achieve personal goals, and become more independent while creating a positive, engaging environment. What You'll Do As a Day Services' Direct Support Professional , you will: Lead and support engaging center-based and community activities. Encourage independence, confidence, and personal growth through individualized supports. Facilitate recreational, habilitative, educational, and skill-building activities. Assist with activity planning, preparation, and program setup. Support individuals with personal care, medication administration (as applicable), and community outings. Ensure the health, safety, dignity, and well-being of the individuals you support. Maintain accurate documentation and comply with agency policies, HIPAA, and program requirements. Communicate professionally with individuals, families, coworkers, and community partners.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with individuals, families, and team members. Ability to implement person-centered supports, adapt activities to individual needs, and effectively problem solve. Ability to complete accurate documentation, maintain confidentiality, and uphold professional boundaries. Proficient in basic computer skills and able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
WHAT YOU BRING
18+ years of age High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Valid driver's license (ability to obtain Class E license within 14 days of hire) Proof of valid vehicle insurance Reliable ability to pass background and reference checks
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stay active throughout the day (standing, walking, sitting, using hands) Willingness to assist with lifting, repositioning, and personal care support when needed Ability to provide safe, attentive support during daily activities
