POSITION SUMMARY
As a FirstLight Caregiver, you will provide non-medical in-home support services that help clients remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their homes. Our caregivers play a critical role in improving quality of life by assisting clients with daily activities, companionship, safety supervision, personal care, and emotional support. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Personal Care & Daily Living Assistance Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, hygiene, and mobility support Provide medication reminders and assist with maintaining safe daily routines Help clients with transfers, walking assistance, and fall prevention support as needed Companion Care & Client Engagement Build meaningful relationships with clients through conversation, companionship, and emotional support Encourage social interaction and engagement in hobbies or activities Help clients feel safe, supported, and connected Household Assistance & Support Services Assist with meal preparation, laundry, dishes, organization, and light housekeeping Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe home environment Provide transportation assistance and help with errands as needed Communication & Client Safety Observe and communicate changes in client condition or needs to the office team Follow individualized care plans and company procedures Maintain professionalism and dependable communication with clients, families, and staff Professionalism & Team Support Represent FirstLight Home Care with compassion, integrity, and professionalism Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities Contribute to a positive and supportive caregiving culture
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 1 year of professional or personal caregiving experience preferred Experience in home care, assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, hospice, or private caregiving is strongly valued CNA, HHA, DSP, or related experience is a plus but not required Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance required Ability to pass criminal background screening and drug testing requirements Current negative TB test or willingness to obtain one Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and accountability
