Job Description

Specialized Support Services, Inc. is looking to grow our team of excellent Direct Support Professionals who make a difference in our consumers' lives. Our Direct Support Professionals assist with the implementation of consumer Person Centered Support Plans (PCSPs) and Activities of Daily Living. Consumers appreciate assistance in living life to its fullest through help with cooking, cleaning, bathing, dressing, traveling and enjoying vibrant lives in their communities through occupational, recreational and social activities. Importantly, Direct Support Professionals ensure that each consumer's rights are protected and treat consumers with dignity and respect. Training for this career can be done directly with Specialized Support Services, Inc. and the consumers. Qualified candidates need a high school diploma, a GED, or must be enrolled in a GED program or willing to complete DMH qualified high-school equivalency through a separate training program; the ability to pass a state-mandated background check and the desire to make a positive difference in people's lives by providing domestic, social, health, safety and emotional support. We are hiring a full-time overnight position that includes weekend work. The schedule for this position is Sunday 8p-8:30a, Monday 11p-7a, Thursday 8p-8:30a and Friday 11p-7a.

From $17.00 per hour
