Job Description

Overview Part Time Weekend Help NEEDED!!!!! We are seeking qualified individuals who want to earn extra income. Shifts include 8a to 8pm weekends. Willing to accommodate individuals schedules by splitting weekends up. For example if someone is interested in every other weekend, every other Saturday etc. We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to provide exceptional care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, aging needs, or health challenges. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, home and community care, and experience working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with autism, dementia, or other disabilities. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalized care and support. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide medication administration and monitor vital signs in accordance with care plans Support clients during meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met Implement and follow individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs Observe and document patient condition, behavior, and progress while maintaining HIPAA compliance Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to ensure safe transfers Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and sanitation Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and community involvement Respond promptly to emergency situations with appropriate first aid or CPR when necessary Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and team members to deliver comprehensive care Requirements Prior experience in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or home health care is highly preferred. Must pass background check and have a valid driver's license, high school diploma or GED preferred Knowledge of patient monitoring, medication administration, and care plan implementation Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance are required or preferred. Will train the right candidate Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or memory care is advantageous Ability to lift heavy loads safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts; physical stamina for long shifts is essential Strong observational skills for patient safety and well-being monitoring Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients and team members Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team in various settings including home & community environments Join our team as a Direct Support Professional to provide vital assistance that enhances the quality of life for those we serve.
