Job Description

We are currently seeking dedicated, caring, and dependable Personal Care and Respite Care Assistants to join our team.
Position Summary:
The Personal Care and Respite Care Assistants play a vital role in supporting the daily needs of our clients. This position involves providing hands-on personal care, assisting with daily activities, and offering short-term relief for family caregivers. We are looking for compassionate individuals who enjoy helping others and take pride in creating a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment. This role requires travel to private residences within the Mississippi Delta .
Key Responsibilities:
Assist clients with personal care needs such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting Provide mobility support and ensure client safety throughout the day Assist bedbound clients with all necessary care and comfort needs Offer companionship, encouragement, and emotional support Support daily activities, games, and social programs in the center Help with meal service, light housekeeping, and maintaining a clean environment Provide respite care to give family caregivers temporary relief Monitor and report any changes in client behavior or condition to supervisors Maintain accurate care notes and daily activity logs
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred Previous experience working with elderly or disabled adults preferred Compassionate, patient, and dependable demeanor Ability to lift up to lbs and assist clients with mobility needs Strong communication and teamwork skills Must pass a background check and drug screening CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
