Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and assistance to patients in their homes
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and individual preferences
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature
  • Assist with medication reminders and administration
  • Provide memory care support for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease
  • Perform catheter care and assist with other medical procedures as directed by a nurse
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of patient care
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
Experience:
  • Previous experience as a home health aide or in a similar role is preferred
  • Knowledge of hospice care and experience working with terminally ill patients is a plus
  • Familiarity with medical documentation and record keeping is beneficial
