Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team and provide exceptional support to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities. In this vital role, you will help enhance the quality of life for clients by offering personalized care, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs, patient behavior, and overall condition, reporting any concerns promptly Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Operate patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, sanitation, and organization of client spaces Document patient care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and facility policies Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care (including Alzheimer's care), memory care, and hospice care practices Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, patient monitoring, and resident's rights regulations Ability to perform manual handling tasks and heavy lifting safely using proper techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications in HIPAA compliance or specialized caregiving are a plus Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders or intellectual disabilities support is advantageous Valid training or experience in geriatrics, long-term care, or home & community care environments enhances your candidacy Join us in making a positive impact by providing compassionate personal care that empowers individuals to live their best lives.
