$15 per hour Job Summary Integrated Treatment Services is seeking dependable, caring, and professional Direct Support Professionals to join our Residential Respite Care Facility team. DSPs are responsible for providing supervision, support, safety, structure, and daily care to youth in a residential respite setting. The ideal candidate will be patient, responsible, respectful, and able to work well with youth, families, staff, and community partners. This position requires strong boundaries, good communication skills, and the ability to remain calm during stressful situations. Responsibilities Provide direct supervision and support to youth in care. Assist youth with daily routines, hygiene, chores, meals, activities, and bedtime routines. Monitor youth behavior and provide positive redirection as needed. Follow each youth's service plan, safety plan, behavioral plan, and facility rules. Complete required documentation, including daily notes, incident reports, behavior notes, medication documentation, and shift logs. Support youth with coping skills, de-escalation, communication, and appropriate decision-making. Maintain a safe, clean, structured, and respectful environment. Complete regular room checks and safety checks as required. Administer or assist with medications according to facility policy and training requirements. Report concerns, incidents, injuries, medication issues, rule violations, or safety concerns to management immediately. Participate in staff meetings, required trainings, and supervision. Work professionally with coworkers, supervisors, DSS, schools, families, and other service providers. Follow all company policies, confidentiality requirements, and North Carolina residential care standards. Requirements Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or GED preferred. Must be dependable and able to report to work on time. Must be able to pass required background checks. Must have a valid driver's license if transporting clients. Must be able to work with youth who may have behavioral, emotional, or mental health needs. Must be able to remain calm and professional during crisis situations. Must be able to complete documentation accurately and on time. Must maintain confidentiality at all times. Must be willing to complete all required training. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with youth, behavioral health, mental health, foster care, group home, residential care, respite care, or direct care services. CPR/First Aid certification. Medication Administration training. Crisis prevention, de-escalation, or behavioral intervention training. DSPs may work with youth who need emotional support, behavioral support, supervision, structure, and assistance with daily living skills. Staff must be alert, attentive, and actively supervising youth throughout the shift.
