Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants for 2nd shift (Monday - Friday and 1 weekend each month, 3pm - 11pm) to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in direct support roles, particularly within nursing homes or assisted living facilities, and will be committed to promoting the dignity and rights of residents. This position requires a caring attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times. Monitor patients' health and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Help residents maintain their independence by encouraging participation in activities of daily living. Ensure that resident rights are respected and upheld at all times. Lift and assist clients as needed while adhering to proper safety protocols. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including housekeeping tasks as required. Document care provided and any observations regarding clients' well-being. Skills Experience in direct support roles, particularly in nursing homes or assisted living settings. Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and patient care best practices. Familiarity with resident rights and advocacy for individuals with disabilities. First aid certification is preferred but not required. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare staff. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Ability to lift clients safely and assist them in mobility as needed.
