Job Description
I am seeking a kind, patient and dependable individual to Provide direct support for my adult autistic son. (personal care, meal support, toileting, per the individualized Plan of Care. This is a part time position but there will be a full time position open in the near future.
Responsibilities:
- Provide respectful assistance with daily living tasks, including showering, grooming and hygiene.
- Support personal development and skill building activities.
- Research and schedule appropriate community outings.
- Encourage independence, social engagement and positive routines.
- Maintain safe, structured, and encouraging environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities.
- Comfortable providing personal care and hygiene.
- Dependable, patient, and able to communicate effectively.
- References required as well as valid driver's license and insurance.
- CPR and NCI training is manditory and provided
- Complete accurate service documentation (service notes or grids) within required timeframes
