Job Description

I am seeking a kind, patient and dependable individual to Provide direct support for my adult autistic son. (personal care, meal support, toileting, per the individualized Plan of Care. This is a part time position but there will be a full time position open in the near future.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide respectful assistance with daily living tasks, including showering, grooming and hygiene.
  • Support personal development and skill building activities.
  • Research and schedule appropriate community outings.
  • Encourage independence, social engagement and positive routines.
  • Maintain safe, structured, and encouraging environment.
Qualifications:
  • Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities.
  • Comfortable providing personal care and hygiene.
  • Dependable, patient, and able to communicate effectively.
  • References required as well as valid driver's license and insurance.
  • CPR and NCI training is manditory and provided
  • Complete accurate service documentation (service notes or grids) within required timeframes
