What This Role Is All About As a Direct Support Professional, you'll provide hands-on support to people in our production department. Your work will help individuals build independence, feel safe and respected, and stay actively connected to their community. What You'll Do No two days look exactly the same, but your work will include: Supporting individuals in their daily routines while promoting independence, choice, and personal growth Creating a warm, respectful, and encouraging environment through positive interaction and role modeling Helping people engage in their community through outings, events, shopping, appointments, and social activities Supporting individuals in building friendships and maintaining natural support systems with family, friends, and neighbors Following individualized Plans for the Future, including behavior supports and skill-building goals Observing and documenting progress, changes, and successes Adhering to all Pride policies related to safety, abuse prevention, medication, confidentiality, and emergency procedures Attending staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development Being a reliable, positive team member who communicates clearly and shows up ready to help This role requires transporting individuals in the community, assisting and supervising individuals at their job locations, lifting or transferring up to 50 pounds. What We're Looking For A caring, respectful, and dependable team player A positive attitude and genuine interest in supporting others Willingness to learn about developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses, and behavior supports Ability to follow policies, document accurately, and communicate effectively Flexibility, responsibility, and strong time management skills Qualifications High school diploma preferred Valid and clear driver's license Access to reliable and insured personal vehicle Experience working with people with disabilities is preferred but not required Ability to assist with lifting and transferring up to 50 pounds Why Pride?
