Job Summary Join our compassionate healthcare team as a Home Health Aide, where your dedication and caregiving skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of a couple receiving home-based care. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance to two individuals; one with dementia and the other with low vision, both have had recent falls and have broken bones. You will promoting independence, comfort, and well-being within the safety of their home. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure that patients receive high-quality support while maintaining their dignity and privacy. This paid position offers an opportunity to grow your career in home healthcare while delivering essential services that improve quality of life. Responsibilities Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support for the wife. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; report changes to healthcare professionals promptly. Administer medications accurately following prescribed instructions and document medication administration in medical records. Support one of the patient with specialized needs in dementia car Maintain strict adherence to home healthcare regulations including HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality and privacy. Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe living environment for clients. Document all patient interactions accurately in medical documentation systems; communicate effectively with clients and their families to ensure clarity of care plans. Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a trusting relationship that promotes mental well-being for geriatric or disabled patients. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home healthcare agencies is highly preferred. Demonstrated experience assisting individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions such as Alzheimer's disease or other memory impairments. Knowledge of medical terminology, medication management, catheter care, and vital signs measurement is preferred. Experience working with geriatric populations is advantageou. Familiarity with home health care regulations and compliance standards including HIPAA is required. Certification in First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS), including CPR training, is preferred to ensure readiness for emergencies.
