GED Driver's License Full Job Description Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide 1:1 support to an individual in the community. This role focuses on promoting independence, enhancing quality of life, and encouraging participation in meaningful community activities. The DSP will work closely with the individual to explore new interests, build skills, and engage in social and recreational opportunities in a supportive and person-centered manner.
Schedule:
Part-time:
30 hours per week Schedule may include weekdays, evenings, or occasional weekends depending on the individual's needs and activities
PAY:
$18/hr. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one support tailored to the individual's goals and preferences Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) , including personal care as needed Support community integration by accompanying the individual to activities, events, and outings Encourage and assist with exploring new hobbies and experiences Provide safe and reliable transportation to and from community-based activities Assist with volunteer opportunities and community engagement Promote independence, dignity, and choice in all aspects of support Maintain accurate documentation and communication regarding progress and activities

Requirements:
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Prior experience in human services, caregiving, or direct support preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required at least 100,000/300,000 Liability Auto Insurance Clean driving record Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently in a 1:1 setting Compassionate, patient, and dependable Preferred Skills Experience supporting individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities Knowledge of person-centered planning and community-based supports
