We are looking for dependable caregivers who are passionate about helping seniors and adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. As a CHHA with Comfort Keepers, you will provide one-on-one, non-medical home care services that improve quality of life and bring peace of mind to clients and their families. Certified Home Health Aide Responsibilities As a CHHA, responsibilities may include: Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) Bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance Mobility support, ambulation, and transfers Meal planning and meal preparation Light housekeeping and laundry Grocery shopping and errands Medication reminders for self-administered medications Transportation to appointments and activities Companionship and emotional support Monitoring client safety and well-being Maintaining accurate client documentation and logbooks Reporting changes in physical, emotional, or mental condition to supervisors Caregivers are expected to maintain professionalism, compassion, confidentiality, and respectful communication with clients, families, and team members. Qualifications To qualify for this Certified Home Health Aide position, candidates must: Hold a valid New Jersey CHHA certification Be at least 21 years old Have a high school diploma or GED Possess a valid driver's license Have reliable transportation and current auto insurance Be able to work independently with minimal supervision Demonstrate compassion, patience, and dependability Pass a criminal background check Previous experience in home care, senior care, assisted living, hospice, or caregiving is strongly preferred. Schedule & Availability We offer flexible scheduling options to fit your availability and lifestyle, including: Full-time and part-time opportunities Day shifts Evening shifts Overnight shifts Weekend shifts Holiday availability Overtime opportunities Shifts are assigned based on client needs, caregiver availability, and service area. Physical Requirements This role requires moderate physical activity, including: Standing and walking for extended periods Bending, lifting, and assisting clients with mobility Light housekeeping duties Lifting up to 25 pounds when necessary Caregivers may occasionally be exposed to bodily fluids and must follow all infection-control and safety procedures.
