NJ Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) - $28/Hour Morning Shifts | Barnegat, NJ Exceptional Care Group is seeking a dependable, experienced NJ Certified Home Health Aide for a recurring private home care assignment in Barnegat. We're looking for someone comfortable providing substantial hands-on personal care and assisting a client with limited mobility. Local candidates who can consistently cover the full schedule are strongly preferred.

SCHEDULE

Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday 9:00 AM-1:00 PM $28/hour for these four-hour shifts Start as soon as possible after screening and orientation Additional evening shifts, 6:00-8:00 PM, may be available. Pay ranges from $25-$28/hour depending on the shift. Preference will be given to candidates available for all four mornings. If you can cover only some of these days, please include your exact availability. Additional Availability Candidates with flexibility to cover other mornings or occasional evening shifts are encouraged to apply. Additional coverage opportunities may become available based on client needs.

ABOUT THE ASSIGNMENT

The client requires assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, repositioning, and transfers between bed and chair. She weighs approximately 300 pounds, so experience assisting larger clients with significant mobility limitations is important. The home has an Etac transfer device and a gait belt. Candidates must be comfortable following an individualized transfer plan and using the appropriate equipment and assistance. This position does not require manually lifting the client's full body weight. An in-person orientation and transfer competency assessment are required before working independently.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with bed baths, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene Provide toileting, bedpan, and perineal care Assist with stand-and-pivot transfers when assessed as appropriate Use the Etac transfer device according to the care plan and training Assist with repositioning and observe and report skin concerns Provide meal assistance and hydration reminders Complete light housekeeping related to the client's care Offer companionship and maintain a comfortable environment Document care and communicate concerns to the RN/care coordinator Recognize when a transfer requires additional assistance or a different method

REQUIREMENTS

Current, active New Jersey CHHA certification Recent hands-on personal care and transfer experience Experience assisting larger clients or clients requiring substantial mobility support Ability to perform the physical duties safely using appropriate equipment and assistance Dependable transportation to Barnegat Reliable attendance and communication Professional, patient, and respectful approach to care Experience with Etac transfer equipment, gait belts, rehabilitation, or substantial mobility needs is strongly preferred.

This assignment is best suited to someone living in or near Barnegat who can reliably commute for recurring morning shifts and, if interested, shorter evening shifts. Exceptional Care Group is RN-led, with a direct point of contact for care coordination and questions.
