In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance, promote independence, and foster a safe and engaging environment. Your enthusiasm and proactive attitude will help create a positive atmosphere that empowers clients to thrive daily. This position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work in various care settings, including residential homes, community programs, and assisted living facilities. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure comfort and dignity Support residents with mobility using safe patient lifting practices and equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor vital signs and observe health changes to report promptly to healthcare professionals Administer medication following prescribed protocols while maintaining accurate documentation Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed Engage clients in meaningful activities, socialization, and behavioral management to enhance well-being Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, sanitation, and organization of care areas Skills Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly desirable Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia management, memory care techniques, and behavioral support strategies Ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal care with compassion and professionalism Familiarity with medication administration, vital signs measurement, and basic first aid/CPR certification Experience working with individuals with developmental or cognitive disabilities in home or community settings Proficiency in safe manual handling techniques and heavy lifting when required Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about caregiving who want to make a positive impact every day.
