Responsibilities Assist clients with personal care activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing and daily hygiene. Support clients with mobility, transfers, walking and gentle exercises as directed by the care plan. Provide companionship, conversation and emotional support. Assist with meal preparation and feeding when required. Perform light housekeeping related to the client's immediate needs. Provide medication reminders when authorized and within the caregiver's permitted scope. Accompany clients to appointments, errands and community activities when assigned. Offer respite support to family caregivers. Assist with basic pet-related tasks when included in the client's care plan. Observe and report changes in a client's condition, behavior or environment to the office. Document completed services and communicate timely updates to the La Vie office team. Follow individualized care plans, agency procedures and client-safety requirements. Protect client privacy and maintain professional boundaries. Arrive on time and provide dependable coverage for all accepted assignments. Treat every client with dignity, patience, respect and compassion. Required Qualifications Active New Jersey Certified Home Health Aide certification. Compassionate, reliable and patient-centered attitude. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families and office staff. Ability to follow written care plans and verbal instructions. Dependable attendance and professional conduct. Ability to perform the physical duties associated with personal-care assistance. Ability to successfully complete required screening and onboarding requirements. Legal authorization to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications Previous home-care, senior-care or personal-care experience. Multilingual skills are a major advantage. English, Spanish, French or Haitian Creole language skills are especially welcome. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and automobile insurance may be preferred for assignments involving errands or transportation. CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
