Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal care, grooming, and hygiene routines Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing behavior, and reporting changes promptly Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans Facilitate engaging activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation Operate patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure safe manual handling techniques Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individual dietary needs Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and client communication standards Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments or community outings as needed Support individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, dementia, Alzheimer's, or other cognitive impairments with specialized memory care techniques Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders is advantageous Familiarity with care plans, HIPAA regulations, and patient personal care assistance Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely using appropriate techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts CPR and First Aid certification are required; ongoing training encouraged to stay current Strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and team members Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful, person-centered care Join us in creating a supportive environment where every individual receives the respect and attention they deserve.
