Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) for overnight shifts to provide exceptional care and support to our clients in their homes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities, especially during nighttime hours. As a CHHA overnight caregiver, you will ensure patient safety, comfort, and well-being through attentive observation and personalized care. Your energy, empathy, and professionalism will help foster a safe and nurturing environment for our clients while adhering to all home healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards. Duties Monitor and observe patients throughout the overnight shift, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Administer medications and perform medical procedures such as catheter care, vital signs monitoring, and basic wound care as directed by healthcare professionals Use Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to document patient care activities accurately and promptly Support patients with memory care needs, including dementia or Alzheimer's disease, providing compassionate engagement and supervision Follow proper patient transfer methods using equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts to ensure safe mobility assistance Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations while communicating effectively with clients and their families about care plans Experience Prior experience working as a Home Health Aide (HHA), Nursing Assistant, or in assisted living or long-term care settings is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and home health care protocols Experience caring for geriatric patients or individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is advantageous Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation purposes Certification in First Aid and CPR (including Basic Life Support) is required or must be obtained upon hire Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer techniques Previous work in hospice or end-of-life care environments is a plus Join us if you're passionate about providing high-quality home health care assistance during overnight hours!
