Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs) to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide personalized home healthcare assistance, supporting clients with daily living activities, health monitoring, and companionship. Safe Harbor Homecare, LLC is currently seeking a reliable CHHA to care for a Veteran in the Jackson, NJ area! Our veteran currently has 36 hours of Home Health Aide services. Please inquire below! Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods and equipment like Hoyer lifts. Monitor and record vital signs accurately while maintaining detailed medical documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Support medication administration and catheter care following home healthcare regulations and best practices. Observe patients closely for changes in condition, including patient observation for signs of dementia or Alzheimer's disease, and report findings promptly. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, including those receiving hospice or end-of-life care. Maintain patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA guidelines and safeguarding medical records. Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, and meal preparation to promote a safe living environment. Qualifications Valid certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA). Prior experience assisting with ADLs, medication administration, and vital signs measurement. Experience working with geriatric patients, individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia care, or hospice care is highly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and home health care regulations. Ability to operate EMR/EHR systems efficiently for documentation purposes. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration. Certification in CPR and First Aid; BLS certification is a plus.
