Responsibilities Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and other activities of daily living. Provide companionship and emotional support. Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a safe home environment. Provide medication reminders or permitted assistance according to the client's plan of care and agency policy. Assist with safe transfers and mobility using approved techniques and equipment when properly trained. Observe and report changes in the client's condition to the supervising nurse. Complete accurate and timely service documentation. Follow the client's individualized plan of care, infection-control procedures, safety requirements, and confidentiality policies. Requirements Active New Jersey Certified Homemaker-Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification in good standing. Current CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Previous experience assisting clients with activities of daily living in home care, assisted living, long-term care, or a related setting is preferred but not required. Experience caring for older adults, individuals with disabilities, or individuals with developmental needs is preferred. Ability to safely assist clients with mobility and transfers using approved techniques and equipment, including Hoyer lifts and sit-to-stand lifts, when required and properly trained. Ability to perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Knowledge of client confidentiality, HIPAA requirements, infection control, and home care safety practices. Compassionate, dependable, respectful, and professional. Strong communication and documentation skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, families, supervisors, and other members of the care team. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to clients' homes throughout South Jersey. Ability to successfully complete required background checks, health screening, drug screening, reference verification, and employment documentation. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred but not required.

Pay:

$17.00 - $21.50 per hour
