Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Social Worker in vibrant school communities near Ocean City, NJ. Two full-time leave positions are available for the fall semester: CST Social Worker - Preschool through 3rd Grade This role addresses the developmental and emotional needs of young learners. Collaborate with a committed Child Study Team to provide vital social work services.
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
New Jersey certification as a School Social Worker or eligibility required Experience in school or healthcare social work settings preferred Strong communication, organizational, and counseling skills Ability to engage with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Core Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of approximately 40 students Write IEPs, conduct meetings, and serve as a proactive case manager Provide individual counseling and conduct social histories Partner with school staff and families to support student success Social Worker / Mental Health Counselor / SAC - High School Support high school students through individual and group counseling, and champion mental health initiatives crucial for adolescent well-being.
Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Credentials as a Social Worker; SAC certification or experience with substance awareness a plus Crisis intervention expertise and familiarity with youth mental health needs Passion for developing and leading wellness programs
Core Responsibilities:
Offer crisis screening, support, and intervention for students in grades 9-12 Deliver ongoing group and individual counseling Organize and promote monthly wellness activities Address social-emotional needs, collaborating with school staff and families Both positions feature balanced daytime schedules that align with the school day, creating excellent work-life balance.
