The successful candidate will be responsible for the safety and security of the staff, clients at the work site. The DSP will help to ensure that the front desk is secured at all times and house rules and operational procedures are followed. This is an on-site role located in

Queens, NY Responsibilities :

Assist the Mainview Coordinator in the implementation of the program's goals and activities Adhere to all agency policies, mission and values, with a particular emphasis on providing the supports desired by each individual to achieve his/her needs and wants Ensure that mealtime plans are followed Promote a safe and stimulating environment for the individuals attending program Role model good interactions with individuals in a way that respects their ages regardless of any physical and/or cognitive disability or emotional/behavioral performances Assist participants in identifying, from an array of options utilizing creative means of recording and documentation, how they want to spend their day Monitor and record progress toward established outcomes for the individuals Assist participants in the scheduling and accessing of daily activities

Skills :

Bilingual Spanish , French , Russian , and Arabic candidates are preferred Ability to assess emergency situations and respond effectively Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries in working with residents General knowledge of working in a residential facility preferred Knowledge of HIPPA guidelines and standards Strong written and verbal communication skills CPR/Basic First Aid certification
