Part-Time Dog Walker / Pet Care Assistant Happy Hikes Dog Training is looking for a dependable, dog-loving person to join our small local business as a part-time employee!
Details:
Cazenovia area $25/hour Approximately 6 hours/week - 10-11 AM Monday-Saturday (time may be slightly flexible depending on employee and client needs) Reliable transportation and a cell phone capable of calls, texts, photos, and video are required The position will start with a recurring morning dog-walking client, with the potential for additional dog-walking and pet-care visits as Happy Hikes grows.
What We're Looking For:
We're looking for someone who enjoys dogs, is dependable, is comfortable working independently with dogs of all sizes and various training levels, and follows individual care and handling instructions. Experience with your own dogs, pet sitting, dog walking, shelters, veterinary work, training, etc. is all valuable - formal credentials aren't required.
Interview Process & Paid Job Training:
Part of the interview process will include meeting and interacting with a dog together so I can get a feel for your handling style and comfort level. Onboarding and paid, on-the-job training will be provided before working independently. How to
