Job Description We are seeking a dependable, compassionate Caregiver / Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support for a 27-year-old adult with autism in Wilton, NY . The primary need is assistance with his daily personal care and hygiene routine in a calm, patient, respectful, and consistent manner. Additional hours are also available. This is a great opportunity for someone who lives in or near the Wilton area and is looking for consistent, meaningful part-time work supporting one individual. Because most daily shifts are short, applicants who live locally are strongly preferred.

Pay:

$27/hour Schedule Daily hygiene support is needed Monday through Sunday , and we are open to hiring someone for as many days per week as they are available . Most daily shifts are approximately 1.5-2 hours . There is also a 2-3 hour Wednesday shift , with some flexibility regarding the start time. Applicants do not need to be available for every shift or every day. We are happy to consider candidates whose availability matches only part of the schedule. Responsibilities Provide steady, patient one-on-one support with daily hygiene routines Assist with personal care, including hygiene, grooming, and toileting Follow established care routines and individualized support strategies Maintain safety, privacy, and dignity during hands-on personal care Communicate effectively with family regarding routines, needs, and any concerns Complete required documentation and training Requirements High school diploma or GED Valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work independently, maintain healthy boundaries, and use sound judgment Comfortable providing hands-on personal care and toileting support Dependable and consistent with scheduled shifts Willing to complete required documentation and training What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is patient, dependable, calm, and respectful and who understands the importance of consistency and routine when supporting an adult with autism.
