10:00 PM-8:00 AM, 4 nights per week Position Overview LCD Agency Services is seeking a dependable and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide overnight support to an individual living in the Dayton area with his mother. This is an awake overnight position . The individual typically sleeps throughout the night; however, the DSP is required to remain awake and alert for the entire shift . The DSP is responsible for maintaining a safe environment, monitoring the individual's well-being, being available if assistance is needed, and completing required documentation. The individual's mother manages and administers all medications. The DSP will not be responsible for medication administration. Schedule 10:00 PM-8:00 AM 4 overnight shifts per week Approximately 40 hours per week Schedule may vary based on staffing needs This position is ideal for someone looking for consistent overnight hours Responsibilities The DSP will: Remain awake, alert, and attentive for the entire overnight shift Monitor the individual's safety and well-being throughout the night Respond promptly if the individual wakes or requires assistance Complete routine safety and wellness checks as required Maintain a calm, safe, and comfortable home environment Provide companionship and support when needed Assist with appropriate daily living needs according to the individual's service plan Observe and report changes in the individual's condition, behavior, or needs Follow the individual's Individual Service Plan (ISP) and all agency procedures Complete accurate shift documentation and required daily notes Report incidents, concerns, or unusual events to the appropriate supervisor Maintain confidentiality and respect the individual's privacy, dignity, and independence Communicate professionally with the individual's mother, supervisor, and care team Follow all LCD Agency Services, Ohio DODD, and applicable state requirements

Important:

Awake Overnight Position This is NOT a sleep-shift position. The individual generally sleeps overnight, but the DSP must remain awake and alert from 10:00 PM until 8:00 AM . Staff may be required to respond to the individual's needs, monitor safety, complete documentation, and address unexpected situations during the overnight hours. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old Dependable and able to consistently work scheduled overnight shifts Ability to remain awake and alert throughout an overnight shift Compassionate, patient, and respectful Strong communication and observation skills Ability to follow an individual's service plan and agency procedures Must pass required background checks Must obtain/maintain required First Aid and CPR certification Must complete required Ohio DODD provider training Previous DSP, home health, caregiving, or overnight experience is preferred but not required What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is reliable, responsible, and comfortable working independently overnight .
