Legacy Haven LLC is seeking a dependable, patient, and outgoing male DSP to work one-on-one with an adult male with developmental disabilities. This position is about more than supervision. We are looking for someone who can serve as a positive mentor, help the individual develop a consistent daily routine, and encourage him to become more active in the community. He is intelligent, communicates well, and would benefit from someone who will take the time to learn his interests and introduce him to new places, activities, and experiences.

Initial Schedule:

Monday-Friday 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. 20 hours per week Anticipated start date: October 1, 2026 The initial schedule will remain at 20 hours per week for approximately 30 days while the individual adjusts to receiving services and develops a consistent routine. Following the 30-day team review, the position may increase to as many as 40 hours per week. Additional hours are based on the individual's needs and team approval and are not guaranteed.

Responsibilities:

Build a positive and trusting relationship with the individual Help establish a consistent daily schedule and healthy routine Encourage community involvement and identify activities that match his interests Provide transportation to community activities and appointments as authorized Support independence, social skills, and personal goals Follow the Individual Service Plan and document services accurately Communicate regularly with the family and Legacy Haven management Maintain professional boundaries and protect the individual's rights and privacy

Qualifications:

Previous DSP, caregiving, mentoring, behavioral-health, or community-support experience preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Current automobile insurance High school diploma or GED Ability to pass required background checks CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it Dependable, patient, engaging, and comfortable working independently Must be able to complete all required DODD training and documentation The individual and family have specifically requested a male DSP who can serve as a relatable mentor and positive role model.
