Direct Support Professional DSP A Steady Hand Ltd. - 4.3 Gahanna, OH Job Details Full-time From $17 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications CPR Certification Teamwork BLS Certification Driver's License First Aid Certification Group home experience First aid and CPR Full Job Description Shifts Monday-Friday 4pm-10pm Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide exceptional care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, cognitive impairments, and age-related conditions. In this vital role, you will empower individuals to live fulfilling lives by assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being. Your dedication will help foster a positive environment where clients feel valued, respected, and supported every day. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety guidelines Facilitate engaging activities that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and community involvement Operate standard passenger cars safely for client outings or appointments while adhering to traffic laws and safety procedures Maintain detailed documentation of client progress, incidents, and care provided in compliance with agency policies and resident rights Requirements Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is a plus Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; ongoing training will be provided if needed Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Valid driver's license with experience operating a standard passenger car; clean driving record preferred Join us in making a positive impact! Pay:
