Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans Operate patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques safely and effectively Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal consumption to meet dietary needs Maintain a clean, safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation of living spaces Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and communicate effectively with team members about client progress Provide transportation assistance for appointments or community outings as needed Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being Follow safety protocols including CPR, first aid, and emergency response procedures Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly preferred Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and hospice care practices is advantageous Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques, care plans, medication administration, and HIPAA compliance required Hands-on experience operating patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods is desirable Background in geriatrics or senior care supports success in this role Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members while maintaining compassion and professionalism Join us to be part of a caring community where your dedication helps individuals thrive!
