Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Direct Support Professional, working Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to individuals with developmental disabilities, cognitive impairments, and aging needs. Your energetic and proactive approach will help promote independence, safety, and well-being for residents in a supportive residential or community setting. Needs help with getting out in the community daily to scheduled events and appointments. Mostly Companion care and help with emotional support. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies Administer medication following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities accurately Engage residents in recreational activities and social programs to foster community involvement and mental stimulation Practice safe manual handling techniques during resident transfers and lifting to prevent injury Maintain a clean, safe environment by assisting with light cleaning and sanitation tasks in accordance with health standards Requirements Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia management, and memory care best practices Ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal care with compassion and professionalism Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; ongoing training is encouraged Experience working with individuals with developmental or cognitive disabilities is advantageous Capable of heavy lifting and physically assisting residents during transfers or mobility support Valid driver's license for standard passenger car operation is necessary for community outings or appointments Join us if you're passionate about caregiving and eager to support individuals in achieving their highest quality of life.
