As a Enhanced Direct Support Professional (DSP) you will work directly with individuals based on their needs and prescribed services as outlined in their Individual Plan. This is to include, but not be limited to assisting or observing individuals as needed with: 1. Ability to support individuals with challenging behaviors. 2. Experience with behavioral support plans. 3. Patient, observant, attuned to behavior, able to anticipate challenges coming and redirect ahead of time. 4. Provide support as outlined in the individual's plan of care utilizing approved interventions. This includes safe crisis management techniques, emotional support, and positive reinforcement. 5. Support Individuals in helping to deescalate behaviors during crisis situations 6. Give feedback on the individual's performance in accomplishing goals and objectives of the Individualized Support Plan (ISP). 7. Implements and monitors behavior management and crisis support plans 8. Provide supervision of individual supported based upon their unique plan to ensure the health, safety & behavioral needs of the individual supported. 9. Addresses behavior management safety needs related to the complex diagnoses of individuals. 10. Implements behavior support plans. Utilizes behavioral principles in day-to-day interactions. 11. Specialized attention to the emotional & social needs & supports of individuals

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work or Gerontology.

Registered Behavior Technician NADD Competency Based Clinical Certification Certified Nursing Assistant NADD Competency-Based Dual Diagnosis Certification NADD Competency-Based Direct-Support Professional Certification Job Types:
