Job Description

Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
Location:
On-site | Chester County, Berks County Keystone Behavior Solutions, in partnership with the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU), is seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide individualized support to students in school districts across Southeast Pennsylvania. About the
Role:
As a PCA, you will work directly with K-12 students to provide one-on-one or small group emotional support, behavioral interventions, and personal care assistance. This role is integral to supporting students primarily diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other special needs, helping them thrive in their educational environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized emotional and behavioral support to students based on their IEP goals or behavioral treatment plans. Facilitate interventions in areas such as behavior management, conflict resolution, anger management, and social skills. Collect and document daily data on student progress in accordance with prescribed guidelines. Support students with personal care needs to ensure their safety and comfort during the school day. Collaborate with school personnel and behavior consultants to ensure consistent implementation of intervention strategies.

Classroom Expectations:
Contact the teacher and case manager by 7 AM if you are unable to come to work Maintain professional boundaries by limiting personal conversations Maintain professional work behavior through strong attendance, follow through on responsibilities, and appropriate communication with staff, students, and parents Adhere to assigned schedule, and 30-minute lunch break for full day programming Staff will refrain from use of

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalency required.
Experience:
Prior experience working with school-aged children, particularly those with special needs or Autism Spectrum Disorders, is preferred.
Clearances:
(must be current within 12 months): PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance PA Department of Education FBI Clearance (
Code:
1KG6XN) Act 34 and Act 151 clearances. FBI Clearance (through Pennsylvania Department of Education) CPR and first aid certification Safety Care certification Child Abuse Mandated Reporter Training Recent TB screening (within 3 months) and educational documentation (Diploma or Official Transcripts).
