Summary As a Direct Support Professional at HRC, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with disabilities in their daily activities and personal development. This position is crucial for fostering independence and enhancing the quality of life for those we serve in our community. Responsibilities Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities in daily living activities. Assist clients with personal care, including hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Support individuals in developing life skills and achieving personal goals. Encourage social interaction and community involvement among clients. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor health conditions. Document client progress and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate staff. Foster a safe and supportive environment that promotes independence. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience preferred. Experience in home care or direct support roles is highly desirable. Knowledge of dementia care and long-term care practices is a plus. Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients. Compassionate attitude towards individuals with disabilities and their families. Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
