Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to ensure comfort and dignity. Support residents with mobility using patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques, ensuring safety during transfers. Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, documenting findings accurately in care plans. Administer medications following HIPAA guidelines and prescribed instructions while maintaining strict confidentiality. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individual dietary needs and preferences. Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community activities to promote social engagement. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and ensuring infection control protocols are followed. Observe patients' conditions closely, report concerns promptly, and collaborate with healthcare teams to support comprehensive care plans. Engage clients in meaningful activities tailored to their interests and abilities to foster socialization and mental stimulation. Support clients with neurodevelopmental or cognitive disabilities by implementing specialized strategies for memory care or dementia support, including Alzheimer's care. Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to perform patient observation, monitor vital signs, and assist with medication administration accurately. Experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual disabilities, or developmental disabilities enhances your ability to provide specialized support. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality and privacy are maintained at all times. Hands-on experience with patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or patient personal care assistance is valuable. Familiarity with care plans development and implementation for residents with dementia or memory care needs is advantageous. Ability to perform first aid and CPR confidently demonstrates readiness for emergency situations.
